What does it cover? An exploration of postnatal practices for parents and babies from the Prehistoric Era, through the Middle Ages, the Early Modern Era to the Modern Era in Britain, including those brought by different cultures to British shores. How babies were cared for, practices applied to them and infant feeding practices of the past. Some focus on birth practices that would connect to postnatal practices.
